ONE Championship boss Chatri Sityodtong pays tribute to Victoria Lee after her death at 18 – ‘a precious soul’
Victoria Lee's passing at the age of 18, ONE Championship president Chatri Sityodtong pays tribute to her.
Victoria Lee was honored after her death at the age of 18 by the chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, Chatri Sityodtong. "The Prodigy," who had a perfect record in the martial arts competition ONE, based in Singapore, passed away on Boxing Day in Hawaii, where she resided and trained alongside her family. In an Instagram post on Saturday, her older sister Angela Lee, the atomweight MMA champion for ONE, announced that she had passed away. No official cause of death has been disclosed. Before Lee is buried, a memorial service will be held on January 22, 2022.
"When Victoria was 11 years old, I first met her. Over the years, I saw her develop both as a martial artist and a person. I'll never forget thinking how mature, considerate, and selfless she was for her age.
Of course, she was an extraordinary martial arts prodigy even back then, but I could see that she was so much more than that.”
Lee signed with ONE in September 2020, and thanked Chatri “for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity”.
She went on to beat Sunisa Srisen in her debut by second-round submission. Two more first-rounds wins – via arm bar against Wang Luping, and TKO against Victoria Souza – followed in 2021.
“Victoria had the purest heart of gold and a brilliant mind,” Chatri added.

“She looked after others before herself. She wanted to use her life to help the world. I will always remember Victoria for the beautiful and precious soul that she was. “May you rest in peace, Victoria. We will all miss you. “I send my love, prayers, strength, and light to Ken, Jewelz, Angela, Christian, Adrian, and all of their loved ones. I am so truly heartbroken for your loss. May God bless you.”
Lee said:
“Oh man, I’m so proud of my big brother. Just being able to be in the gym and watch him grind and push so hard in all of his training sessions, and watch the fight and see it play out so beautifully.”
