The state visit of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to China is anticipated to result in 10 bilateral agreements in industries like tourism, commerce and investment, energy, infrastructure, science and technology, and agriculture.
Deals to be signed during the trip, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs, include agreements establishing direct communication between Manila and Beijing on the West Philippine Sea, the importation of durian, the building of bridges, renewing the Philippines' participation in China's Belt and Road Initiative, and digital cooperation.
