However, for requirements for teaching positions in the Philippines, particularly for those with hearing impairment or teaching in specialized programs for students with hearing disabilities, the general process and requirements might include:
Educational Qualifications: Candidates typically need at least a bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. For specialized programs, additional training or certification in teaching students with hearing impairments may be required.
Licensure: In the Philippines, teachers are typically required to pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Specialization: For teaching positions in programs for students with hearing impairments, candidates may need specialized training or certification in deaf education or teaching students with special needs. This might include courses or workshops on sign language, assistive technology, and inclusive education practices.
Experience: Previous experience working with students with hearing impairments or in inclusive education settings can be beneficial. DepEd might prioritize candidates with relevant teaching experience or practicum in special education settings.
Clearance and Documentation: Like all teaching positions, candidates may need to provide clearances such as a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance and submit relevant documentation including transcripts, certificates, and IDs.
Health and Fitness: Candidates may need to undergo medical examinations to ensure they are fit to work in an educational setting.
Other Requirements: Depending on the specific school or program, there may be additional requirements such as proficiency in Filipino and English, participation in continuing education programs, and participation in extracurricular activities.
It's important to check with the DepEd or the specific school or program for the most up-to-date requirements and guidelines for teaching positions, especially those in specialized areas such as teaching students with hearing impairments. They may have specific DepEd orders or guidelines outlining the qualifications and procedures for hiring teachers in these roles.
